If you sustained losses or damages from Hurricane Sandy you may be eligible for disaster assistance. You must contact FEMA by registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA) or TTY: 1-800-462-7585.

Those affected by Hurricane Sandy should register with FEMA, even if you see no storm related damage now. The deadline for registration is December 31, 2012. If you have received a letter of disqualification from FEMA, please read it fully and bring the letter into a DRC for explanation. Disqualification can be something as simple as a missed signature line or a need for one or two more boxes to be checked.

Incomplete is returned as disqualified and can be confusing to the recipient. If anyone receives a disqualified designation .APPEAL TO a DRC!
